I am Emily Simmons and I began my teaching career for Houston County in 2020. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Georgia Southwestern State University. I began teaching at Miller Elementary school fresh out of college and I have made it my home. I taught Third Grade my first year then moved to Kindergarten and have been teaching there since. I received a certificate of Reading through the 2022-2023 Reading Endorsement. 

My favorite subjects to teach are Reading and Math and I love to learn about History. In my free-time I enjoy reading, drawing, and learning random fun facts. I am very excited to see what each school year brings!
