Principal, Mrs. Tiana Johnson
The Houston County Board of Education named Mrs. Tiana Johnson as the Principal of Miller Elementary School during their meeting on December 9, 2025. Mrs. Johnson currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at David Perdue Elementary. She will begin this new role in June, after the retirement of current principal Dr. Dana Brock.
“I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Rogers and our Board members for giving me the opportunity to serve the students, faculty, staff, and community of Miller Elementary,” said Johnson. “I am truly excited to continue fostering a culture of academic excellence, and I look forward to building strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships with every Miller rocket!”
Johnson graduated from The Fort Valley State University and received her bachelor’s degree in business in 2003. After working in the insurance field for several years, Mrs. Johnson decided to pursue a career in education. She enrolled in Wesleyan’s GATAPP program where she earned a master’s degree in early childhood education. Upon completion, she began her career as an elementary teacher in Bibb County while earning a Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. Prior to working at David Perdue Elementary as the API, Johnson taught for 12 years within the Houston County School District.
Johnson and her husband have five children. In her spare time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family, and craft.
